The problem seems to be what Medium perceives as mass random tagging that is purely designed to initiate inauthentic engagement. I'm sure it's fine to do a few tags and shares when we love someone's work. Otherwise, Medium wouldn't have made this possible technically.

I went to bed thinking about doing a newsletter and wasn't sure how that would go. Was going to give it some thought today and then woke up to your comments here, plus a few others and a couple of people did mention a newsletter.

Medium publications do have that option; I just never bothered. I might set it up off Medium, not sure.
