Thanks for this, Pam, and good luck with this journey, hope you soon feel much better. I don't eat much that has sugar in it, aside from a little maple syrup in my overnight oats (like any self-respecting Canadian. If I stop, I'm sure they'll make me rip up my birth certificate).
I have a small amount of dark chocolate with chili most days and there's a little "barley malt" in the oat milk with my morning hot drink.
But otherwise, my diet is mainly whole foods. I don't have a sweet tooth, don't eat desserts, muffins etc. I don't drink juice or soda, have stopped drinking alcohol, so I hope the tiny amount I'm eating isn't causing me any problem!
