Thanks so much, Margie! I really appreciate your feedback. And I am so grateful to have someone who understands at least some of what I've been experiencing!

I'm sure there are plenty of people on Medium who dread seeing my messages because I think of our articles and stories as Part 1 of a conversation. We're sharing hearts and souls. Sometimes people are really hurting or struggling or doing their best to get through something and feeling alone.

I can't just say "good luck with that" and move on!

I figure if they don't want to read my long-winded blathering, they're free not to do that, or even to reply.

I've been thinking a lot about you and about the conversation we're having regarding these challenges and improvements and stuck places. Especially since yesterday regarding those tiny little things you don't think about.

I remember when it was excruciating to even slightly bend my toes, or heaven forbid try to spread them.

And I remember when the slightest touch of a bedsheet on a large area of skin around the general site of my incision felt like burning sandpaper and kept me from sleeping. It was months before that subsided.

It might be slow, but our bodies are incredibly magnificent healing machines. Since our respective injuries, both our bodies have continued working extra hard, round the clock, trying to heal the damage whether we're aware of it or not.

Pretty incredible, really. Big hugs back to you, Margie 💜 🤗
