That happened to me...never had any particular interest in England but eventually went there to visit a friend who had moved from Canada. Ten minutes out of Heathrow in her car, I wept and said, "Oh my God, I'm home." Truly life-changing moment - ended up living there for 15 years and becoming a British citizen.
