That's not an issue. I'm talking about much more than preferred pronouns in an email signature. It's about unreasonable responses to people saying "he or she" in the course of writing or speaking and be blasted for it because someone feels offended - and similar issues. It's more than the pronoun issue, too. So many groups get offended. I don't even dare tell Jewish jokes or German jokes even though I am both. Our rabbi used to tell the best Jewish jokes at the beginning of every sermon.

Somewhere along the way, we have lost our ability to laugh at ourselves and heaven forbid we should say "A priest, a rabbi and the pope walked into a bar and..."

It's got to the point where many people feel censored for fear of inadvertently offending some group or other over quite innocent speech or writing.
