That’s the way much of life is. It should be. We don’t owe anyone anything (other than the obvious, parents are responsible for the well-being of their children, romantic or business partners have commitments to honour etc).
But in general, we are responsible only to and for ourselves and we have no business expecting anything from others, unless it’s already been agreed or paid for etc.
We never know what’s really going on with others anyway. EG No idea why it takes someone five years to write a book. Might not be all up to him. Personal stuff, pain in the ass editor, who knows?
Thanks for this, Jimmy.
