There was nothing scatterbrained about this. And there’s wisdom in it beyond your years. I know people much older who don’t understand all of this the way you do.

How I wish that when I was young, I’d had elders to go to who would have guided me. Even into my 20s, 30s… when I was still raising kids and facing such a lot of mess and challenge. But I didn’t. Wish I’d had that whole village people talk about for raising a child.
