This is my autobiography. The title is me referring to myself as “this stubborn, abused girl” — and the subtitle is in the first person. I have been posting segments going back to my earliest life, beginning with my birth mother (yes, I was adopted).

Thank you so much for your kind comment about my writing. My story actually got the attention of five literary agents in London because it has been over-the-top bizarre (more the adult stuff than the childhood abuse, but the insanity of my adult life had its roots in my traumatic childhood).

The agent with whom I signed a contract wanted to turn the book into a film after publishing. But he said it was way too much story for a film and would have to be a TV series.

But I ended up asking them not to find a publisher. Even though I used fake names, I was concerned about repercussions of exposing several abusive husbands and all kinds of other stuff that could upset others, and also land me in jail for defamation of character. (the truth is no defence, apparently).

So I will have to be careful now…my parents and brother are dead so I can publish that stuff without worrying but my “adult life” — that’s a different story. I’ll have to pull out snippets out of order and be sure no one is identifiable.

I appreciate you reading this, Alex, thank you!!
