This is such great advice! Now if only willpower were this easy to manage!

Have you tried overnight oats for breakfast? (I often have them for dinner). Definitely easier to eat at your desk than porridge.

I make enough for four servings one night, pop the mason jar in the fridge and I'm good for the next four mornings. There are loads of recipes out there. I use this one:

2 c liquid of your choice (water, milk, oat milk, soy milk etc.)

2 c oats (steel cut or porridge oats are best but doesn't matter)

1 Tbsp maple syrup (or other sweetener - or none if you prefer)

1/4 c chia seeds (optional but so good for you and they add nice texture)

bit of salt

capful of concentrated lemon juice or a squirt from the real thing. This does something to the oats to help make sure you can absorb the nutrients but I forget what it is!

Mix well in a mason or clamp type jar or other container and put in the fridge overnight (or at least 3-4 hours).

Add nuts, sunflower seeds, berries, yogurt, whatever you like.

It gets super thick, especially if you add chia seeds. So I usually add some plain fat-free yogurt to my individual morning portion, or a bit of soy or oat milk.

I wouldn't add berries till you're going to eat it; otherwise it looks pretty awful after a day or two.

Highly transportable and a really nice meal or snack at any time of day!
