Warren, this is such a beautiful poem! And I can so relate to your words. I think about a ticking clock in the same way. A reminder of how precious time is. Every tick means one tick less to enjoy. One tick closer to not hearing one ever again. It makes the remaining ticks…heartbeats…so much more precious.
