Well...this is certainly a brilliantly written review of this film - a film I haven't seen. And it was in keeping with the apparent theme and point of this film, as I'm left thoroughly confused as to whether I want to watch it! - which might not sound like it, but it is a compliment to how you wrote this piece.

You've made it abundantly clear that there are incredibly brilliant aspects to this film and just as clear that there are others that I would love to avoid.

I started off thinking, "Nah, doesn't sound like it's for me" then you wrote about Emma Stone's performance and had me convinced to at least give it a look and then - oh, dear Lord, the wheels fell off as you've explained all the chaos and confusion and discord and disturbing, uneasy (etc.) aspects that I don't think would make me happy. Although because of my relationship with music, I'm curious about that part!

Great writing as always! And that last line really packs a punch!
