What a great story, Kendra! And I LOVE your title!! I've been a medium since I was a kid and I can assure you that "Grandma" will be with you in the new house because our loved ones are nearby, no matter where we are.

You might still get the smoking parties - and you might not. She might save those for the spot where she chose to leave her body. But she will definitely still be with you. Our loved ones in spirit are always just a thought away. By that, I mean they can hear your thoughts, as well as when you speak to them out loud.
