Wish I could remember more!! I had just written a decent length comment, outlining a few of the things I loved in particular and raving about this piece and thanking you for the honour of publishing. But I kept hitting 'respond' and getting a red message saying something was wrong and it wouldn't let me send it. That's when I discovered it had been deleted. I was so sad! It was so good!

I hope Medium can restore it!

I don't always do this but most of the time, although I write in Medium I copy/paste and put it on the blog on my website before publishing here (so I can add the canonical link before doing so). It also means I have a spare copy in my control, as I've heard people say they've randomly lost some or even all of their stories here!!

If you don't have a website or blog, you could always keep them in a Google doc or regular document before you publish here.
