Wow! I'm with you! Extreme contrasts frighten the crap out of me, too. They keep us off balance. We don't know what to expect next. We want to trust the 'good' side but then keep getting slammed with the 'not-so-good' side.

I've known people like Gossip Central. There are so many of them - sadly... No doubt she's a prime example of projection. She probably sees in others the very quality she detests in herself but can't see.
