Wow. Shocking! Meanwhile, several years ago I was receiving threatening private messages from a man. He said if I didn’t engage in conversation and a relationship with him (a random stranger on Facebook) he would find out where I lived and come after me. There were numerous disturbing messages within a short time when I stopped responding. I called the police. They came and took a look. Said it was deeply disturbing. They were concerned but couldn’t really do anything. Gave me some advice, told me to contact Facebook. And to Call police again if it escalated.

Facebook said there was nothing wrong with the messages and dismissed my complaint.
