Wow, this is fantastic! I love these changes. I've been away from Medium for most of the past year, dealing with recovering from an injury and surgery and am well enough to be back as I continue healing. Sure didn't expect all the great changes that reward writers for their time. I had become discouraged last spring, spending so many hours here, doing my best to support the community as well as generate an income, but everyone's stats and earnings kept plummeting. It was so disheartening.

I love the fact that the referral program is going because that money will be much better used with the new way of rewarding writers.
