Wow! What a story!! I can't believe all that sugarcane only yielded that one tiny pot of liquid gold! It sounds so good. Like you, I don't like the store-bought stuff unless it's baked into gingerbread etc. I don't think I'll ever attempt to make it myself though!!

I had no idea these plants were so nasty. Can't imagine how awful that was for you, cutting yourself so badly!!

You're quite a remarkable wife. Many wouldn't have been as patient and kind about the sugarcane as you were!
