Yeah, me, too, although still struggling in an area where I never had to do it before - weight loss since menopause - and part of the weight gain is now due to other reasons, like immobility with my injury and never having to have any discipline about what I ate (ate anything not nailed down and was always slim).

Part of it is my food tastes have also changed since menopause, adding to the weight gain that happens even without dietary changes - but then I started craving creamy things and carbs and sauces and crisps and stuff I never used to eat.

And some of it has been emotional, too.

So now it's a big soup of reasons and willpower is fickle because it's tied to emotion, and my leg limits me for vigorous walks or calorie-burning activity.

I feel really stuck with this one, and it doesn't help every time I hear "experts" say how hard it is to shift excess weight in menopause even when you eat less and do more.

So it all feels rather hopeless but I keep praying one day I'll wear my skinnier clothes again (even if not the skinniest!).

I feel like I'm wearing someone else's body and want to drop at least 20 lbs. That would at least put me back to a place where I could wear most of my favourite clothes again - and my rings!
