Yeah...the problem is that she's just doing what she was created to do - which sucks because like you, I also love birds!

And here's a little tidbit for you - when cats bring you a dead bird, it is a gift. They're showing you that they want to share their 'catch' with you, like sharing their food. It's a compliment, too, because they will give it to someone with whom they feel safe and secure.
