You make many valid points here, Sharon. Gosh, what a shock to your system to end up in that situation but as you say, good you figured out the issues early enough that you could correct them.
Personally, I detest living in a big city - which I did all my life except when I moved to England. All my years there were spent in tiny villages, and I absolutely loved it. I'm not big on nightlife or shopping or anything that requires a city. And the villages were always within 10-15 mins of large enough towns that I had access to anything I might need that villages didn't have (which was extremely rare).
It's been so hard to settle back into life in a western Canadian city when my soul only feels happy in a village - or better yet, in a house out in the country where I can't see another house at all. But this is where the universe has sent me so I'm focusing on the blessings in the situation (there are many) and trusting that all is as it should be.
