You summed it up perfectly, Joe. "Life is just an unending grand experiment." Yup. You're in the midst of a lot of inner change after experiencing significant loss - and the massive changes on all levels that come with it. I'm not surprised that you feel more comfortable in your least homey home. Venturing into this lovely lady's home - and where she lived with her late husband - is a powerful and emotional experience, even if that doesn't particularly hit you in a conscious way when you're there.

Everything holds energy. Her home holds the energy of her marriage, of his presence, his energy. Her loss. Her grief. It's an emotional minefield.

So yeah, you're gonna feel it. You're a sensitive soul. You are sensitive to the energy around you.

And no matter how beautiful her home is, it's an emotionally loaded place for you to be - and probably for her, too, but she's not ready to let go.

Seems a good idea to go slowly. There's an awful lot of underlying emotion at play here, and energy that needs time to clear and settle before being able to make any decisions about how to move forward in a meaningful way. (not that you asked my opinion! - just trying to validate why you're feeling the way you are)

Thank you for sharing this, Joe.
